rules
read once, then go forth.
global
1.no illegal content. if you post anything which is illegal as per indian laws or the united states laws your post will be removed and your IP will be permanently banned from desichan.
2.no doxxing. don't post personal info — yours, mine, anyone's. real names, phone numbers, home addresses, photos of strangers caught in the wild — all out.
3.spoiler nsfw. wrap nsfw text in ||spoiler||. don't post nsfw images on sfw boards.
4.no spamming, flooding, or automated posts. one thought per post. one post at a time. give the page a breath.
5.no targeted harassment. bickering on /b/ is fine; coordinated raids on individuals are not.
6.no off-topic threads on boards that have a topic. /g/ is for computers, not chai recipes. if it doesn't fit anywhere, /b/ is your home.
posting
7.posts are anonymous by default. you can set a name and a tripcode (use name#secret) but you don't need to.
8.every post inside a thread is tagged with a per-thread ID. same IP gets the same id within one thread, a different id in any other thread.
9.uploads — jpg, png, gif, webp; up to 6 MB each, max 4 files per post. don't upload anything you which can get you and the desichan team in trouble.
10.quoting works with >>123. greentext is >like this.
moderation
11.mods can delete posts, lock threads, and ban IPs without warning. appeals: there are none. lurk and learn the rhythm of each board.
12.we do not distinguish between "accidental" and "malicious" rule-breaking. if it breaks the rules, it gets treated the same way, no matter the intent.
13.all moderation actions are logged in real time to a private discord channel — what was nuked, who was banned, for how long, by which masked admin token.
vibes
this is a comfy place. lurk a while before posting. don't take yourself too seriously. don't take strangers too seriously either. if you're here at 2am and you're shitposting in good faith, you belong.
